Co-Founders of The Wedding Edition UK Mom’s to Freddie, Eliza, Aurora & Bertie

What’s your biggest challenge as a working mom, and how do you manage it?

Isabella: Being fully present and switching off from work can be a challenge, I have just had my daughter, Eliza, who is nine weeks old and I am constantly typing with one hand with her in the other arm which isn’t easy. On the flip side, I also feel incredibly lucky that my work is flexible, Eliza has already been on multiple shoots and attended meetings, our industry is dominated by like-minded inspirational working mothers who understand the juggle.

What’s your favorite Mother’s Day tradition?

Isabella: I lost my mother at a young age so Mother’s Day has carried a new meaning since having my son nearly three years ago. My husband has always spoiled me with flowers, chocolates and some “me” time (such as massage, bubble bath) which I would very much like to make a tradition for years to come.

Is there a piece of jewelry you’d love to pass down to your children one day?

Isabella: My husband designed my engagement ring and it’s my most cherished item so I would love to pass this down one day, also my new emerald Triple Bezel Necklace is undeniably a new family heirloom!

What’s your biggest challenge as a working mom, and how do you manage it?

Kendra: Juggling a newborn and running a start-up is a feat in itself. Sleepless nights give way to long, demanding days, but the rewards are immense, especially when everything you’re building is for and because of your children. And in the long run, you’ll make it work, you will be there for those ballet performances, school matches, because the long-term pay-off of working around a newborn is worth every sleep-deprived moment at the beginning and a challenge worth overcoming.

What’s the best advice you’ve received as a mom, and how has it helped you?

Kendra: Embrace those tiny hands, those small feet, and cherish the first big milestones-whether it's the first day of school or any moment they conquer something new, like that first crawl, that first giggle, the first time they say ‘mummy’ - soak it in, and never stop taking videos, you will go back to those more than photos and those moments become precious memories when they’re gone.

Is there a piece of jewelry you’d love to pass down to your children one day?

Kendra: My Pear Bezel Necklace
It’s one of those pieces you catch in the corner of your eye and then can’t quite look away from. A wisp of old-world glamour threaded through with modern ease. My daughter’s already claimed it as her own (as daughters do), and frankly, I can see it winding its way through the family, from one velvet jewelry box to the next. One day, it might even be reimagined as an engagement ring. Who knows? But for now, it simply sparkles quietly, as all the best things do.
